This B&B is absolutely excellent. It's in a brilliant location from which to explore the city. Everywhere is spotlessly clean and everything thoughtfully provided. The choice at breakfast was superb with everything beautifully displayed.
Nothing is too much trouble for Fabio and all the staff who made my stay in this beautiful city a real joy.
I would love to go back to Lucca and would definitely love to stay here again!

In May 2016 we had 2 huge rooms shared with family for 3 nights. A spotless place, with lovely hosts that made beautiful breakfasts each morning including hot croissants and a coffee machine to die for with access to it 24/7. Located inside the wall of this ancient city an easy walk from the train. Highly recommended.

We stayed here for 4 nights and loved everything about it! Our top floor suite had a lovely view of the Duomo and a little terrace to sit and enjoy a glass of prosecco. Fabio and Laura were very welcoming. Breakfast was excellent and the whole atmosphere very relaxed. The historic centre of Lucca was on our doorstep with lots of cafes and good shopping. It was also excellent value for money. A much better experience than a traditional hotel! We hope to return!

We stayed 4 nights in this wonderful B&B right in the heart of Lucca. All the rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean with stylish decor. The B&B is very homely so a lovely comforting feel when one returns from a big day out. When we arrived in Lucca we could not find the B&B but after making a phone call to Fabio he kindly cycled to where we were so we could follow him back to the B&B. Fabio was very helpful and assisted in anything we wanted to know about Lucca. Fabio's mother is charming and provided a delicious breakfast in a delightful dining room with views of the square. The B&B is opposite the venue where a Puccini Concert is held nightly. We attended two of the concerts and were blown away by the talent which consisted of a soprano, tenor and pianist. We dined in the little restaurant opposite and were joined by the singers afterwards. What a treat. We loved our B&B, the owners and Lucca. I would highly recommend this B&B.

I discovered this wonderful B&B by accident when looking for accommodation for a business trip early in 2014. I have since stayed there 5 times and have never been disappointed. The breakfast is varied and delicious. Tea and coffee making facilities are available all day/night. The rooms are all stunningly decorated and furnished (the photographs do not do them justice!) but my favourite is the upstairs terrace room overlooking Il Duomo where you can sit sipping your Prosecco in the evening sunlight before wandering down to enjoy one of the daily Puccini concerts, a stroll around the walls, a climb up the Guinigi Tower or dinner at one of the many restaurants within easy distance. Laura and Fabio are attentive hosts and are very friendly - nothing is too much trouble for them. Staying at Il Duomo is more like being welcomed by friends than being in a B&B. I would recommend it to anybody. I can't wait to go back again, but for a holiday next time!

(Austria - 08/04/14)
Dear Fabio and dear Laura,
back in Austria we once again wanted to thank you for the wonderful stay in your B&B. Having been in Italy for many times in the past 30 years I would like to compliment you on the way how you conduct your business - you manage the dichotomy between utmost professonality and most cordial hospitality in a way that deserves highest praise!
Should we visit Lucca again in the coming years we certainly know where to stay!

Sehr großes Zimmer, sehr freundliches Personal.

Koseligt og intimt. Rent og vennlige folk. Sentralt. Skulle gjerne vært der lenger. Kommer nok igjen.

Fabio was so kind to meet us outside the wall of Luca and wheel our luggage to the b&b and then carry it up the stairs which we couldn't have done by ourselves very easily or at all. Well decorated. Owners Laura and son Fabio were very friendly and helpful.

“Excellent!! Couldn't do enough to help...helped with an flexible check in and earlier breakfast to fit with our travel arrangements. would highly recommend :-)”
(Italia - 01/02/14)
Ci ritornerei subito!

Friendly, efficient, great breakfast, elegant room. very convenient for Puccini Festival--a must in Lucca.
(Australia - 11/01/13)
Fabio and his mother Laura, very friendly hosts. Fabio arranged to meet us at the railway station and helped with our luggage. Beautiful and large rooms overlooking the Duomo. Great breakfast and as I have special dietary needs (gluten free) this was catered for. Fantastic! We would thoroughly recommend to stay at this wonderful B&B.

Had a hard time finding the residence, but once we were there, had a wonderful stay. Centrally located within the walls and near shopping and great restaurants. Fabio and his mother, Laura, were the perfect hosts. Breakfast in the morning and a wonderful room, overlooking the duomo, made the stay great. Complimentary bottle of prosecco, and a cute balcony to relax after a day in Lucca. Views were spectacular. Would highly recommend this B&B.

We stayed on the highest room with a small terrace and a window looking on the the Piazza San Martino, stunning views. Ask for the room with the terrace and the view. The terrace is very small but gave you a view over the roofs to the hills. The son Fabio was extremely polite and helpful and picked us up and returned us to the airport in Pisa. His mother, I didn't catch her name was very attentive at breakfast and made sure that we were happy with the buffet that she put on. The buffet was a cold buffet but had an adequate selection of fresh meats and cheeses, pastries, fruit etc. there was a coffee macine available all day if required. And Fabio carried our cases up and down to the room, greatly appreciated, many thanks Fabio. The shower was a bit variable, perhaps because it was so high up, the lower rooms had first call on the water, it often went from very warm to very cold and anywhere in between, it didn't spoil the experience, just a quirk that we got used to but would be nice if it could be fixed, but that is the charm of Lucca. The Air conditioning worked well and didn't disturb our sleep. Being only 1 min from Piazza Naploeone, we were right in the centre of where we wanted to be. Our intention was to eat out so b&B suited us fine.

Ruime kamer ruime badkamer.

A very nice b&b in Lucca, great location, beautifull room, fantastic welcome with champgne, very good breakfast, very helpfull owner. Their english is a bit limited so if your italian is also limited and you are not comfortable with sign language you could have some troubles, but do not let that stop you to stay here. It was definitely worth it and in fact just added to the charming atmosphere. One warning though, the bed in our room was very good but a bit short, so if you are tall I would recommend asking them for a suitable bed.
